My name is Rob Crawford.
I live in Houston, Texas, with my beautiful wife and girls.
I am pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Cyber and Data Security Technology.
In the last 20 years, I have worked in Information Technology (IT). Starting right out of high school, I built computers for an engineering company. Over two decades in IT, I focused primarily on infrastructure, working with AS400, networks, email, virtualization, databases, and the cloud, though I did some programming and application support along the way.
In 2018, my company underwent a major reorganization, and I transitioned from the manager of enterprise computing to cybersecurity. This change has been incredible, and I have loved learning about cybersecurity. Before beginning my degree in early 2019, I obtained my Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification through self-study. In the past, I have received other certifications: Banyan Vines, Microsoft MCSE NT 4.0, MS SQL 2005, CompTIA Project+, and PMP.
My focus at work is securing Industrial Control Systems (ICS), which is sometimes called Process Control Domain (PCD), SCADA, or Operational Technology (OT).
